I will be opening my first solo art show, A Bloodied Kind of Hope, this fall at Nous Tous Gallery in Chinatown, Los Angeles on Friday, September 6th, 2019. The show will feature typographically-based drawings and paintings that explore darkness as a form of healing. Taking a deeply personal look at relationships, family, love, lust, friendship, and the relationships between adulthood and the inner child, this work isn’t afraid to dive into emotions that are typically met with fear and shame in polite society. But, in this space, we’ll celebrate heartbreak, anger, sadness, frustration, disappointment, and loneliness for the universal humanity they imply and the connection and healing they’re able to provide when brought out of the darkness and into the light.
