Posters for Amplifier Foundation ︎ Women’s March
Jan 2016 ︎ Creating protest art just after the most traumatic moment of my young American life was no small feat. But when Amplifier Foundation put out the call for submissions for people to use at the nationwide Women’s March, I knew I had to give it my best attempt. I tried called into protest art of the 60s, while creating a message relevant to right now. I wanted to partner the idea of peaceful protest with the idea of relentless protest. My sentiments have changed drastically, and I do believe I would’ve made something more aggressive if briefed today, but this message serves its purpose. This art has since been featured in gallery shows meant to benefit the Women’s March cause and Refinery29’s 29 Rooms adult playground exhibit.
